Comparing Eastland electricity providers shouldn’t so challenging. But in the extremely competitive market of the Texas deregulated electricity, it can be hard to know the difference between a good deal and clever marketing.
There are many electric providers and countless plans to choose from in Texas. We are your expert at helping cut through the clutter to find a plan that truly offers the cheapest electricity rates in Eastland and anywhere in Texas where electric choice exists.
Our free website will help you understanding how electricity in Texas works and how you as a consumer can find the plan that is right for you.
Here you will find electricity plans from the large energy companies that you know alongside offerings from smaller but still reputable electric companies that offer service in Eastland.
The best way to see beyond all of the marketing language and understand what you can really expect from a residential electricity plan is to read the plan’s EFL. You should never settle on an electricity plan without reading the Electricity Facts Label first. Don’t worry, it’s a short document. It’s about a page long with the most significant stuff near the top.
Texas electricity providers must make an EFL available for each plan they sell and update the document every time rates are updated.
Competition in Texas incentivizes electric companies in Eastland to innovate when they are developing new electricity plans. While sometimes this innovation can be a a good thing for electricity consumers, it does make it tricky to compare one plan with another.
Comparing is made a little easier by the fact that all ETFs contain average rates for the standard 500, 1000, and 2000 kWhs usage levels. But the calculations behind these rates will be very different from one plan to the next.

The EFL will contain the calculation that is used to derive your bill each month. Check for fixed cost monthly bill charges. These charges will increase the average electricity rate if you use a smaller amount of electricity. That’s a major part of the reason that rates for 500 kWhs are almost always higher than rates for 2000 kWhs.
You should also look out for disappearing bill credits. These credits apply to your bill if you use a certain amount of electricity in the month but could be taken away again if you use too much electricity for the month. It’s like trying to hit a bull’s eye with your electricity usage.
The EFL will also contain information about cancellation fees, contract lengths and other plan details.
